A Pennsylvania man is facing distress as his beloved emotional support alligator, Wally, has gone missing during a visit to Georgia.

Wally, an 8-year-old alligator, has been absent for over a week, leaving his owner, Joie Henney, deeply concerned. Henney revealed that Wally disappeared from his enclosure while they were visiting friends on vacation in Brunswick, Georgia.

Henney expressed his anguish to FOX 5’s sister station WTXF, recounting how someone left Wally in a stranger’s yard before a trapper eventually relocated him to a nearby swamp inhabited by other alligators.

Reports indicate that Henney has been Wally’s caretaker since 2015, when a friend who rescues alligators in Florida entrusted him with relocating the animal from a condominium development.

As the search for Wally continues, Henney remains hopeful for his safe return, holding onto the bond they share as owner and emotional support companion.
