Ventura County(Thechieftainspear) – Authorities have arrested an Oxnard man accused of sexually assaulting a woman while riding a public transit bus in Ventura County.

The alleged attack took place on Friday while a 37-year-old woman from Ventura was traveling on a bus from Camarillo to Ventura, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

After an investigation, deputies identified 49-year-old Miguel Angel Salgado Rodriguez as the suspected attacker. On Sunday, law enforcement officers located him at a bus stop on Johnson Drive in Ventura.

Deputies said Rodriguez initially refused to comply with their orders, attempting to delay the investigation before being taken into custody. A subsequent search of his belongings revealed evidence allegedly linking him to the reported assault.
