Two cities in Idaho have garnered recognition as some of the best-run cities in America, according to recent reports. This accolade adds to the allure of the Treasure Valley, potentially influencing decisions for those considering relocation to the area.

Boise and Nampa were highlighted in a study by WalletHub for their exceptional operational efficiency, placing them at the forefront among U.S. cities. Boise secured the third position on the list, while Nampa claimed the top spot, affirming their commitment to delivering high-quality city services.

Boise stands out with the fourth-lowest property crime rate and the tenth-lowest violent crime rate nationwide. Its hospital system ranks eleventh in the country, and it boasts the third-lowest long-term outstanding government debt per capita, amounting to $1,062.

Meanwhile, Nampa demonstrates robust financial health with a per capita long-term debt of just $564. The city also boasts the sixth-lowest property crime rate and the twenty-second lowest violent crime rate in the nation. WalletHub also recognizes Nampa for its impressive median annual income growth, the highest in the country at 17%.

This recognition underscores Boise and Nampa’s effective governance and prudent financial management, setting a benchmark for other cities. With such accolades, it wouldn’t be surprising if nearby cities like Meridian aspire to join their ranks in future assessments.
