In a significant development, authorities have apprehended a suspect in connection with the tragic double-homicide outside a Lincoln strip club.

Christopher Johnson, aged 32, was taken into custody following an extensive investigation by the Lincoln Police Department, which determined his involvement in the fatal shooting of Carlos Silva, 39, and Terrell Jones, 40, on Saturday.

Through meticulous analysis of security footage and interviews with witnesses, law enforcement successfully traced Johnson’s whereabouts to Omaha, where he was apprehended after a pursuit on foot.

He now faces charges including two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of firearm-related felonies. Johnson is slated for extradition to Lancaster County in due course.

The collaborative efforts of multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Omaha Police Department, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol, and the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, were pivotal in apprehending Johnson.

The tragic incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday outside The Office Gentlemen’s Club in Lincoln, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. Both Silva and Jones sustained fatal gunshot wounds and were pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the shooting was precipitated by a verbal altercation outside the club. Despite the gravity of the situation, authorities reassure the public that it is an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to safety.

The Lincoln Police Department urges anyone with pertinent information or footage related to the incident to come forward, either by calling 402-441-6000 or reaching out to Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
