Study Reveals Breakfast Chains with the Biggest Price Hikes

(Thechieftainspear) –Rising food costs aren’t just impacting grocery shoppers—your go-to restaurants are feeling the strain too. A recent analysis by FinanceBuzz highlights which fast-casual chains have seen the most significant menu price increases over the past five years.

On average, restaurant prices have jumped about 42% during this period, but two breakfast-focused chains have outpaced the rest with even steeper hikes.

At the top of the list is Waffle House, a beloved Southern staple, which has raised its prices by a staggering 96%. Known for its round-the-clock service and late-night appeal, Waffle House operates thousands of locations across the country but has yet to establish a presence in California. However, diners in neighboring Arizona have access to 15 locations.

Following closely behind is IHOP, a brand that’s especially familiar to Californians. Founded in Burbank and headquartered in Glendale, IHOP has expanded worldwide while seeing an 82% price increase over the past five years.

Other major chains that have raised prices beyond the national average include Texas Roadhouse (46%) and TGI Fridays (45%).
