Southern California(Thechieftainspear) – A Tesla owner in Venice was left feeling disturbed after receiving an anonymous letter in her mailbox urging her to get rid of her vehicle. The handwritten note compared owning a Tesla to supporting Nazis, a message that deeply upset the recipient.

Abby Berman, who lives on Glyndon Avenue, was one of at least two Tesla owners in the neighborhood to receive the letter. The note was signed by someone named “Rebecca” and arrived in an envelope with a fake return address.

Berman, who purchased her Tesla in 2019, expressed frustration over the accusation. She clarified that she is neither a supporter of Elon Musk nor a fan of former President Donald Trump but cannot afford to replace her car simply because of the controversy surrounding Tesla’s CEO.

“I’m frustrated by what’s happening in the world, but sending offensive letters isn’t the solution,” Berman told KTLA. “If someone wants to discuss it, I’d rather have a conversation than be targeted this way.”

The letters surfaced amid ongoing protests against Musk, his involvement in politics, and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has been linked to significant cuts to federal programs.

Demonstrators have been gathering outside Tesla locations, including a protest in Culver City, where activists urged consumers to boycott the brand. However, some protesters distanced themselves from targeting individual Tesla owners.

“I don’t believe in shaming people who own Teslas,” said protester Phil Glosserman. “Most bought their cars before DOGE was even a thing. Our goal is to challenge Musk’s political influence, and the best way to do that is by protesting outside his businesses.”

Tesla has not yet responded to inquiries regarding the anonymous letters or the rising backlash against Musk .
