Sen. J.D. Vance R-OH the Republican vice presidential nominee, spoke passionately at a rally in Tucson, Arizona, promising to seek justice for Nicholas Douglas Quets, a murdered Marine veteran. Quets, who was shot and killed in Mexico, was remembered as a dedicated service member and outdoorsman.
Vance vowed to confront drug cartels and emphasized that the U.S. government had failed to reach out to Quets’s family during their time of grief.
Quets was attacked while driving to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico, with friends on October 18. His father, Warren Douglas, expressed frustration over the lack of communication from U.S. officials following the tragedy.
He emphasized the need for the U.S. to take control of the investigation and prosecution, insisting that Quets’s case deserved urgent attention and action.
The family is awaiting the return of Quets’s remains and is pushing for a thorough investigation to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
