San Antonio has proudly secured its place on Travel + Leisure’s esteemed list of the 15 Best Cities in the U.S. for 2024, clinching the seventh spot with an impressive reader score of 83.2. One visitor, speaking to Travel + Leisure, described the River Walk as “one of the nicest places we have ever visited in the [United] States. It was exceptionally maintained and absolutely beautiful.”

San Antonio narrowly surpassed Fort Worth, which closely followed with a score of 83.19, making them the sole Texas cities to grace this year’s prestigious list of top U.S. destinations. Notably, Texas and New Mexico stand out as the only states with two cities recognized in the rankings.
