A mother of six, Odilia Bohrsicajau, was tragically stabbed to death by her husband, Juan Antonio Garcia, in their Redwood City home this December.
According to investigators, Odilia, 33, had recently told her husband that she no longer wanted to be with him. Garcia, 57, became suspicious and believed that Odilia was cheating on him with a co-worker.
On the evening of December 8, Garcia tried to win his wife back in their bedroom, but when she rejected him, he became angry and decided to kill her.
He grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her multiple times in the neck, face, and chest, causing her to bleed to death.
Odilia leaves behind six children who live in Guatemala with their grandmother.
After the killing, Garcia allegedly changed his clothes, left the knife in the sink, and fled the scene. He later called the police to turn himself in. Garcia is now facing murder charges and is being held in jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
