Los Angeles(Thechieftainspear) – Authorities are on the hunt for a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian in Los Angeles’ Koreatown and then fled the scene, leaving the victim in critical condition.
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on March 1 at the intersection of Western Avenue and 1st Street. The victim, identified as a San Pedro resident, was seen jogging across the street when a speeding vehicle plowed into him.
Shocking Surveillance Footage
Surveillance video captured the violent impact, showing the man being thrown onto the car’s windshield and roof before landing on the pavement. Instead of stopping to render aid, the driver sped away from the scene.
The suspect’s car is believed to be a gray, four-door sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry.
Victim in Critical Condition
Emergency responders arrived and transported the injured pedestrian to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition as of Tuesday night.
LAPD Issues Safety Reminders
Following the incident, the Los Angeles Police Department urged drivers to stop and provide aid if involved in a collision, emphasizing that failing to do so is a serious crime.

“Motorists must pull over immediately, contact emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves,” the LAPD stated. The department also reminded pedestrians to follow traffic signals, use crosswalks, and remain alert while crossing the road.
$25,000 Reward for Information
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to the driver’s arrest and conviction.
