CALIFORNIA — The National Weather Service has issued Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for several Northern California counties this Saturday afternoon.
Warnings include potential nickel-sized hail, winds up to 60 mph, and possible fire hazards from lightning strikes. Expect possible damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
As of 4 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was near Shriner Lake campground, moving north at 20 mph, according to ABC10 weather. The alert is in effect until 5:15 p.m. in some areas. Check the latest weather updates [HERE].

- Calaveras
- El Dorado
- Amador
- Alpine
- Placer

Areas impacted include Carson Pass, Kirkwood, Bear Valley, Lake Alpine, Kirkwood Meadows, Tamarack, Upper Blue Lake, Kirkwood Ski Area, Kit Carson, Lookout Peak, Shriner Lake campground, and Hermit Valley basin.
