RD Whittington, star of Million Dollar Wheels, is known for providing luxury cars to A-list celebrities. However, this week, he found himself in a police car rather than one of his high-end vehicles due to a felony fraud case.
According to TMZ, Whittington was arrested by Beverly Hills Police on Tuesday afternoon. The arrest was due to an out-of-state warrant from Nevada. He was taken to jail on charges of felony fraud for allegedly trying to cash a check with insufficient funds.
Legal documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Whittington faced two felony charges in Nevada: theft of $5,000 to $25,000 and attempting to pass a check with the intent to defraud for an amount of $1,200 or more. An arrest warrant had been issued last month, and it appears that authorities finally caught up with him in Beverly Hills.
Whittington was released from custody on Wednesday after Nevada officials decided not to extradite him.
