Jared DeLoof, the Executive Director of the Idaho Democratic Party, is resigning from his position, with his last day set for January 31, 2025.

DeLoof has served as the executive director since May 2021, during which time he led significant efforts to organize Democrats across the state, including organizing all 44 county parties and running a record number of candidates.

Party Chairwoman Lauren Necochea commended his leadership and dedication, emphasizing his role in strengthening the party’s foundation and building a more robust coordinated campaign effort.

DeLoof previously worked with NextGen America and as a rural organizer for Barack Obama’s campaigns.

In his resignation statement, DeLoof expressed pride in the progress made during his tenure, particularly in rebuilding county parties and running candidates in every legislative district for the first time.

He plans to remain in Boise after transitioning to a new opportunity, though he will continue to support the Idaho Democratic Party.

The party has already initiated a search for his successor. Despite facing challenges, such as Idaho’s strong Republican dominance, DeLoof’s tenure marked a period of significant organizational growth for the Idaho Democrats.
