Gwen Walz, wife of Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz, visited Marquette, Michigan, energizing a crowd with calls to vote and touching on critical issues as early voting approaches.

Accompanied by actress and singer Mandy Moore and State Representative Jenn Hill D-Marquette, Walz emphasized the stakes of the upcoming election, describing November 5 as a “pass/fail exam” and urging attendees to get out the vote.

While her speech remained mostly lighthearted, Walz addressed key points such as reproductive rights, claiming former President Donald Trump is unfit for office and aims to wield unchecked power if re-elected.

She also warned that Trump’s economic policies could jeopardize mining jobs in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, sparking strong reactions from the audience.

Attendees, including Jamie Crabb, a mother of two, voiced their motivation to vote, highlighting concerns over rights and the future.

Sandy Rearick, another attendee, remarked on the emotional impact of Walz’s speech and voiced her hope for a Kamala Harris win.

This marked Gwen Walz’s fourth visit to Michigan since her husband joined the Democratic ticket, demonstrating the campaign’s focus on the state.

With early voting starting Saturday, Walz plans to visit polling sites across the U.P. Meanwhile, Trump and his running mate, Senator JD Vance, have also been rallying supporters across Michigan this week.
