The Linn County Sheriff’s Office has reported the death of Brent Brown, the fourth victim of a violent attack that also claimed the lives of three others earlier this week. Brent, who was 34 years old, succumbed to his injuries on Friday, as confirmed by the Johnson County Medical Examiner.

Luke Truesdell, the suspect in the case, is now charged with four counts of first-degree murder. The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday, where authorities found Romondus Cooper, Keonna Ryan, and Amanda Parker dead in an outbuilding on the 3600 block of East Otter Road in northern Linn County.

Investigators have stated that Truesdell admitted to attacking the four victims with a metal pipe. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday to face the new charge related to Brent Brown’s death.

Brent’s body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny for an autopsy as the investigation continues. The community is grieving the loss of Brent Brown and the other victims, while efforts to ensure justice for their tragic deaths move forward.
