Flu activity is definitely on the rise in the Tri-State area, with Indiana seeing a jump from medium to “high” flu activity.

It seems like flu, RSV, and strep are causing more disruptions this year compared to COVID, which has remained stable. Several schools have temporarily closed to help curb the spread of these illnesses.

Health experts are urging everyone to take preventive measures like handwashing, covering coughs, and, of course, getting a flu shot if they haven’t already.

With flu season extending through May, it’s not too late to get vaccinated. Hopefully, the closures help keep things under control!
