Man, identified as David Hernandez, 37, lost his life in a two-vehicle collision on Pearblossom Highway (State Route 138) in the Antelope Valley near Llano. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed his identity on Wednesday. David Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
The collision occurred at 1:07 a.m., prompting the California Highway Patrol to respond to the incident at the intersection of the highway and 185th Street East.
At the scene, officers discovered the victim trapped in one of the vehicles, with debris scattered across the roadway, according to CHP Officer Sean Lough, who provided information to City News Service. One vehicle had overturned, while another, a sedan, was located off the highway in the bushes.
