The Modesto Police Department is investigating a possible homicide following a domestic violence call early Monday morning. Officers responded to a call on the 500 block of Kimble Street, where they found the suspect injured after a family member intervened.

The suspect was taken to a local hospital and later died. The police stated, “This was an isolated incident, and all involved parties have been accounted for.”

The victim of the reported domestic violence was also taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Due to the nature of the incident, the police may not release more details while the investigation continues, according to MPD spokesperson Sharon Bear. She did not confirm if anyone was arrested, and the police did not release the name of the deceased. The Modesto Bee does not name domestic violence victims.
