High school junior girls in Beaver County are excitedly preparing for the upcoming Distinguished Young Women programme, which will be held at the Sandy Reigel Theatre in Rochester this Saturday.

Participants in the competition have the opportunity to vie for cash prizes, college scholarships, and the highly esteemed title of Distinguished Young Woman of Pennsylvania for 2025.

The event will be open to everyone and will start at 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for $15 either at the door or in advance on eventbrite.com.

Four young women from different high schools in Beaver County will undergo evaluation by a panel of five judges in categories including Scholastics, Interview, Talent, Fitness, and Self-Expression.

The recipient of the Distinguished Young Woman of Beaver County title will advance to the state-level competition in Pittsburgh on July 27. There, she will compete for more cash scholarships and the chance to represent the programme at the 68th Distinguished Young Women National Finals in Mobile, Alabama, in June 2025.
