Douglas Reynolds Jr. is currently being held on preventative detention following a high-speed chase that began in Dalton, New Hampshire, and ended in Vermont.

During the incident, which took place on Thursday, Reynolds allegedly fired shots at U.S. Marshals.

In a virtual bail hearing at Grafton County Superior Court on Friday, prosecutors revealed that a warrant for Reynolds had been issued in June.

The chase reportedly moved through Littleton before concluding on Route 5 in Vermont, where the shooting incident occurred around 1:15 p.m.

The FBI’s Albany office is now investigating the shooting, and state prosecutors anticipate that federal charges will be filed against Reynolds in connection with the incident.
