SAVANNAH, Ga. — Saturday is National Georgia Day, a special time to celebrate the Peach State. Here are 10 interesting facts about Georgia:

  1. In 1943, Georgia became the first state to lower the voting age from 21 to 18.
  2. Georgia has had five state capitals: Savannah, Augusta, Louisville, Milledgeville, and Atlanta.
  3. Founded in 1732, Georgia was the youngest of the original 13 colonies.
