Daniel Rottier, the 73-year-old president of the prominent Wisconsin law firm Habush Habush & Rottier, passed away on Friday.
He had been with the firm since 1979 and was a key figure in its success, especially in the field of personal injury law, handling complex cases involving medical malpractice and product liability.
Rottier was known for his significant impact in litigating major lawsuits, including the largest case ever prosecuted in Wisconsin against Big Tobacco, which resulted in a settlement of over $5 billion.
His work, particularly in consumer safety, has left a lasting legacy, with Rottier resolving over 90 cases valued at over $1 million each.
He was widely recognized as a tenacious and transformative figure in the legal community.
Rottier is survived by his wife, Frankie, and their four children.
