A 39-year-old Connecticut man, Alexander Rodriguez, is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving while intoxicated and biting a state trooper.
On January 1, Rodriguez crashed his vehicle off the roadway of I-87 in Bethlehem while intoxicated, with a child in the car.
After being arrested and en route to his arraignment on DWI charges, Rodriguez reportedly bit the trooper.
He now faces charges of second-degree assault, aggravated DWI with a child passenger, endangering the welfare of a child, and traffic violations.
Rodriguez was arraigned in Colonie Town Court and is being held in Albany County Jail with bail set at $15,000 cash, $20,000 bond, or $50,000 partially secured bond.
