A recent incident in Indiana highlighted two major safety issues for drivers: car theft and people trying to avoid police traffic stops. It all started on December 26th, when a police officer spotted a van reported as stolen. The officer tried to pull the van over, but the driver refused to stop, leading to a police chase.

The chase continued for some time, which posed risks to everyone on the road. Eventually, the driver took an exit but stopped on the side of the road.

However, he wouldn’t get out of the van. The police tried using chemicals to force him out, but it didn’t work. Things got more serious, and they called the SWAT team, who also tried using gas to get him out, but it still didn’t work.

Finally, around 5:30 am, the SWAT team and a K9 convinced the driver to leave the van. After the traffic stop, the driver was taken to the hospital and will be arrested afterward. His charges have not been made public yet.
