Gov. Greg Gianforte has been elected as vice chairperson of the Republican Governors Association (RGA) for the upcoming term.

The announcement was made alongside the election of Georgia’s Governor Brian Kemp as chairperson.

Gianforte expressed his honor in taking on the role, emphasizing his commitment to working with fellow Republican governors and President Donald Trump to promote conservative policies, including tax cuts, infrastructure investment, and border security.

As Montana’s governor, Gianforte recently celebrated the state’s 40th consecutive month of unemployment at or below 3.4%, with October’s rate at 3.3%, compared to the national rate of 4.1%.

The RGA’s executive committee will also include several prominent Republican governors, such as Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas, Kim Reynolds of Iowa, and Glenn Youngkin of Virginia. South Carolina’s Governor Henry McMaster will serve as the policy chair for the RGA.

Gianforte’s leadership will focus on supporting Republican gubernatorial candidates across the country, with a shared vision of advancing conservative values and policies in state governance.
