2-Year-Old Boy Recovering After Accidental Shooting in Stockton, Police Say

STOCKTON – A 2-year-old boy is in stable condition after being accidentally shot in Stockton on Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to an apartment complex on N Commerce Street around 2:30 p.m. because of a shooting. They learned that the boy had been taken to the emergency room.

The boy was found there and is now stable. He was later moved to a hospital in Sacramento but is expected to recover.

Police believe the shooting was accidental, and they are still investigating. There was a strong police presence on N Commerce Street during the investigation.
