Student Recognized by NLR JROTC program
November 9, 2021
In mid-October, a North Little Rock High School student and JROTC cadet was awarded a JROTC coin. The JROTC coin is a rare achievement and is only awarded to cadets who go above and beyond and show excellent leadership skills. The student, named Joe Butler, was awarded the coin for going above and beyond and not giving up during a one-mile-run.
Butler led his fellow cadets to complete a one-mile run under the time limit of 14 minutes. He completed it in just over 6 minutes. His determination and leadership skills prompted the army instructors to award him a coin.
“I feel proud to receive something,” he said after being awarded the coin.

I thought this article was very well written. Also the writer seems like a pretty dope person.
