The North Little Rock Charging Wildcats football team took on the El Dorado Wildcats in a 38-28 victory on Friday, August 27.

Senior linebacker Jonathon Grayson had a few words after the Friday night game. Grayson said, “We as a whole felt really good about the game. Glad we got the chance to work out all the little things and really get comfortable in a new system before the actual season started. Always a good feeling to line it up against someone in a different colored jersey.”

Malachi Gober, junior quarterback, had 224 yards and 4 touchdowns. This was Gober’s first varsity start and he already has a win under his belt. Senior wide receiver Johnny Lewis had a great game with 136 yards, 2 touchdowns. Junior running back Torrance Moore had 5 carries and 79 yards. Javante Harris, junior running back, also scored one out of the four touchdowns.

Overall the Wildcats are excited about their season, this win gives them the confidence they need going into their 2021 season.
